Park City Red Wolves Pick up 2 big wins.

The Red Wolves had a two game weekend that ended with all 6 points at home. Opposition Colorado Rush came into the match feeling confident after taking 2 wins and 1 draw vs. the Red Wolves so far this season. On the other bench, Scott Mackenzie and company came into the match looking to kickstart their season  as the club hopes to compete for the USL League 2 playoff spot. 

Game 1 saw the Red Wolves, take a 2-0 lead into halftime with a early own goal and a late second added by central midfielder Carter Johnson. The Red Wolves continued too pile on the pressure in the second halve with efforts from Captain Gui Leme and attacking midfielder Alex Silva, however could not break through. Red Wolves held the 2-0 lead until the 94th minutes when a penalty was awarded to the Colorado rush deep into overtime. The game finished 2-1 to the Red Wolves earning coach Scott Mackenzie his first win of the season.  

 

The second game really showed Red Wolves at their best. James Pena opened the scoring early on with receiving a long diagonal pass from Johnny Guar, with a touch like butter before volleying the finish in the top corner. Colorado Rush came back into the came late into the second half equalizing before halftime. After halftime Red Wolves came out on fire and scored another five goals from Ivan Sakou, Ryen Jiba, Kurt L, and Alex Silva.

A great weekend for the Red Wolves as they look to kick on for their next stretch of games against Ogden City SC.
