Red Wolves Academy - Utah

What does Red Wolves Academy Training Look like ?

The Red Wolves Academy - Utah has 3 main training types:

1) Red Wolves Academy Team Training

2) Human Performance Training

3) Small Group Technical Training

The idea behind each of the 3 types of training is to provide each Red Wolves Academy Player with a well rounded and holistic soccer education.

Red Wolves Academy Team Training

Academy team training follows a 3 part training methodology designed to meet the needs of each individuals development within a team training environment. The 3 part methodology focuses on developing each player across the 4 attributes from the Red Wolves Academy player profile.

The 3 part methodology consists of physical activation & development, technical and 1v1 development and game like and directional activities. This mix of activities promotes learning in all 4 of the attributes identified in the Red Wolves player profile and puts precedent in the areas we believe are key for elite soccer players.

Human Performance

The purpose of the Red Wolves Academy Human Performance program is to

1. Decrease the risk of injury of each athlete
2. Improve the physical performance of each athlete

We do this by improving their athletic movement proficiency, overall strength and power, and conditioning. This will help keep each player physically healthy, allowing them to take part in and develop through more training, coaching, and competition with the Academy.

Each human performance session works towards developing the magic mover attribute from the Red Wolves player profile.

Small Group Technical Training

Small Group Technical Training focuses on developing the individual players confidence and relationship with the ball. The focus is on purely developing brilliant basics from the Red Wolves Player Profile. Each session has a focus on the 3R’s: Receiving, Releasing and Retaining.
